Assessing the functional impact of mutations to innate immune receptors in HS
In collaboration with Dr Lynn Petukhova of the HS Genetics Consortium, we are assessing the functional consequences of mutations to key immune sensor molecules detected in HS genome wide association studies. Led by Dr Ashish Neve, we are using cutting edge molecular biology techniques to tackle this important challenge.

Modelling HS Pathogenesis
Using state-of-the art in vitro techniques, we are taking multiple approaches to the challenge of modelling the course of HS pathogenesis from initiation to scarring.
Funding: TCD Doctoral Research Award, TCD MED Award and Enterprise Ireland Support Grant.
